The association of local women wanted to take care of our visitors. They have been knitting these mittens during the 24 hours sun shine in Summer. Just before December the association of local women build up a magnificient Christmas tree made of mittens! The mitten tree is built to a Sallatunturin Tuvat. Totally were knitted over 400 pairs of mittens to ensure that none of our visitors are freezing in the wilderness.
The idea of social sustainability is involved in the idea. Anyone is able to bye own pair by 15 euro’s and support locally. All the income goes to the welfare of local children and youth.
